Our
experience as a team at IBM's Zurich Research Laboratory led to the formation of Matching Systems.
Initial experimentation with prototypes and publication of key innovations
at leading academic conferences were followed by early commercial experience gained
with a leading global financial services group, and with a German web-based
insurance intermediary.
IBM's desire to focus on core web
services infrastructure, and leave the business application arena to
business partners, opened the way for the formation of a new software
company to exploit the business oriented application of advanced matching
technology - Matching Systems was born. The early commercial successes at IBM have been followed
by further refinement of the concepts, and an innovative new implementation by Matching Systems in the light of
that early commercial exposure.
The result is the Matching Systems Engine, a core
component that has the experience of more than five years research and
development behind it.
