Today, many complex documents such as contracts are drafted by expensive experts on a repeated basis.  These documents are too varied in nature to be reduced to a document template - different clauses need to be included or excluded depending on the individual circumstances of each case.

Matching Systems technology can free up those expensive resources to focus on the true "one-off" contracts by generating personalised documents automatically from a set of matched and tailored contract clauses.  Here is how it works...

Contract clauses are each made up of three elements -

the static content of the clause - the parts of the clause that do not vary from case to case

the dynamic content of the clause - those parts that will vary depending on the circumstances of the case, such as the insertion of a date, party name or amount
the business rules that determine the applicability of the clause for a particular contract - not every clause is relevant to the circumstances of each case

These three elements make up a clause description that is specified by an expert and submitted as an advertisement to a Matching Systems Engine.  A large number of such advertisements make up a pool of clauses available for possible inclusion in a contract.

A set of customer circumstances, or a description of the desired business content of a contract, can be submitted to the Matching Systems Engine as a query (as an xml document, or via a form presented in a web browser).  The matching process will be triggered automatically, resulting in the selection and dynamic configuration of those clauses that are relevant to the individual case.  The static and dynamic elements of the matching clauses are married together automatically, and combined to form a personalised contract document that fits the individual customer circumstances.  The final document can be reviewed with a word processing tool such as Microsoft Word, submitted into a document management system for further approval and review, or printed directly for signature and completion.
