The core Matching Systems Engine

The core engine holds the advertisements and performs the core matching service, evaluating queries and dynamically configuring and selecting matching advertisements to be returned as a set of offers.

Configuration options allow advertisements to be held in memory for high performance, or alternatively dynamically loaded on demand to manage very large volumes of advertisements.  A secure read-only version for production use is also available.

In addition to supporting the submission of advertisements and queries, the engine also supports management operations such as obtaining reports, changing passwords and user permissions, or amending the engine's configuration - all of which can be performed via simple xml-based interfaces.
