Insurance Claims An example matching system for reporting insurance claims. |
The scenario Insurance claims involve obtaining large amounts of information from customers. One of the goals of this system was to minimise the amount of information requested from the customer, ensuring that the only questions asked are relevant to the individual circumstances of the customer and the incident being reported. This is achieved by using a Matching Systems Engine to dynamically determine what information should be sought from the customer, following the submission of a brief description of the customer and the incident. Matching is also used to identify circumstances where the incident reported is not covered by the policy, and to determine what action should be taken by the company to progress the settlement of the claim. This demo features a browser based client application that is intended for use by representatives of the insurance company in a call centre. It was developed jointly by Matching Systems Limited and IBM Business Consulting Services in Germany. A similar application, though with a different user interface, could also be developed for use by customers with which to report claims directly on-line. The demo The demo lasts about six minutes - you will need to have the Flash plugin in your web browser to see it, and a high resolution screen (at least 1024 x 768). We will show you the browser based client application, pointing out the effects of the Matching Systems Engine on the resulting dialogue with the user, and the resulting recommended actions to handle insurance claims.
