Telecoms companies have a broad range of overlapping services, targeted at a variety of different customer segments.  This example application of a Matching Systems Engine, taken from our training course, illustrates how a Matching Systems Engine can help customers find the right solution based on the matching of their needs with personalised presentation of available services.

Our example telecoms company has seven different tariffs for mobile phone services.  They vary by call charge, monthly charge and cost for sending SMS messages.  Some additional services such as GPRS data services and multimedia services are not available with some tariffs, and free minutes and SMS messages are made available with some tariffs.  There is even a special tariff for children.

Each tariff offer also includes special offers on mobile phone handsets, offering discounted purchase (sometimes even free of charge).
