 In-Plugins

An In-Plugin is a java plugin that can filter or modify the query information prior to matching.  Different, and if required, multiple plugins can be provided to handle queries for different advertisement types.

As an example of their use, a query may include information that identifies the customer.  An In-Plugin could take this information and invoke a query on a customer database which returns more detailed information about the customer.  This information can then be appended to the information originally provided with the query prior to entering the matching process.
